Polling ends

Poll for 18-assembly seats and 1 parliamentary seat has ended as of now. Voting percentage has hit a new high this year or this by-polls. 


As of now 70% is poll percentage and Parakala has witnessed 80% , with Ramachandrapuram being 84% as it is one of the top. The percentage has increased when compared to 2009. 


Narsanapet, Payakaraopet also witnessed 80% voting and Narsapuram with 79%. However, Prathipadu witnessed highest polling of 85%. Women voters have turned out in high number and the voting percentage has increased to a new heights after 12 P.M.


Udayagiri and Railway Kodur witnessed 73% voting. Rayadurgam, Emginur registered 68%. Anantapur Urban witnessed 66%. 


Allagada 75%, Macherla witnessed 78%, Rajampet 73%, Tirupati 55%, Rayachoti 79%.


Pollavaram 60% and Nellore M.P witnessed 68%.


Though Anantapur would have gone by more than 5% minimum. But names were not founded in list and as many as 5000 members names were missing. 


There were some incidents which shook atmosphere. Macherla, Anantapur, Prathipadu, Ongole, Railway Kodur and Rayachoti witnessed some small incidents. 


As normal manner, people who are in queue line after 5 P.M. are allowed to vote and those not are not allowed. 


According to information, it is believed that many lady voters have turned out for voting after 12P.M. A new low was witnessed in the morning almost 8% of polling was seen in first couple of hours and continued upto 12 P.M.


After 12, a sudden increase in voting percentage is seen. In a media conference held by Election officer Banwarlal. He said 50% of voting is registered upto 1 P.M. But in the last four hours it increased almost by 30%.


The figure might rise as still voting is being continued, as people in line are allowed to vote and almost all 1 to 2 percent increase can be witnessed.
